3、 The performance characteristics of refractory fiber products
Refractory fiber, also known as ceramic fiber, is the best refractory with the lowest thermal conductivity and the best thermal insulation and energy saving effect except nano materials. It has many advantages, such as light weight, high temperature resistance, good insulation effect and convenient construction, and is a high quality lining material for industrial furnace. Compared with traditional refractory brick, refractory castable, refractory fiber has the following performance advantages:
a. Light weight (reduce furnace load and prolong furnace life): refractory fiber is a kind of fiber-like refractory, the most commonly used fire-resistant fiber blanket, with a volume density of 96-128kg/m3, while the volume density of the refractory fiber module folded by fiber blanket is between 200-240 kg/m3, and the weight is 1 / 5-1 / 10 of light refractory brick or amorphous material, It is 1 / 15-1 / 20 of heavy refractory. It can be seen that the refractory fiber lining can realize the light and high efficiency of the furnace, reduce the furnace load and prolong the life of the furnace.
b. Low heat capacity (less heat absorption and fast heating): the heat capacity of lining material is generally proportional to the weight of lining. Low heat capacity means that the furnace absorbs less heat in reciprocating operation and the heating speed is accelerated. The thermal capacity of ceramic fiber is only 1/10 of light heat-resistant lining and light refractory brick, which greatly reduces the energy consumption in the temperature control, especially for the intermittent operation furnace, which has a very significant energy saving effect.
c. Low thermal conductivity (less heat loss): when the average temperature is 200 ℃, the thermal conductivity is less than 0.06w/mk, and the average temperature of 400 ℃ is less than 0.10 w/mk, about 1/8 of the light heat-resistant amorphous material, which is about 1/10 of the light brick. Compared with the heavy refractory, the thermal conductivity of ceramic fiber material can be ignored. So the insulation effect of refractory fiber is very remarkable.
d.Simple construction (no expansion joint is required): the construction personnel can take up their posts after basic training, and the influence of construction technology factors on the insulation effect of furnace lining is small.
e. Wide range of use: with the development of production and application technology of refractory fiber, refractory ceramic fiber products have been serialized and functional. The products can meet the requirements of different temperature grades from 600 ℃ to 1400 ℃ from the use temperature. From the aspect of morphology, it has gradually formed secondary processing or deep processing products from traditional cotton, blanket, felt products to fiber modules, plates, special-shaped parts, paper, fiber textiles and other forms. f. Thermal shock resistance: the fiber folding module has excellent resistance to the violent temperature fluctuation. Under the premise that the heated material can bear, the lining of the fiber folding module can be heated or cooled at any speed.
g. Mechanical vibration resistance (flexible and elastic): fiber blanket or felt is flexible and elastic, and it is not easy to damage. The installed whole furnace is not easy to damage when it is impacted or transported by road.
h. No need for oven drying: no drying procedure (such as maintenance, drying, baking, complex baking process and protection measures in cold weather) is required. The lining can be put into use after construction.
